My mother Lois Morgan has been a resident since November 2004 and we are very pleased with the professional care that she receives.

We didn’t know what to do…. I was working all of the time, sometimes with very long hours and away from home frequently. My wife was taking on the full responsibility of taking care of my mom 24/7. It was very hard for one person to take care of her as mother would sometimes be awake for long periods of time…. several days at a time. I could not believe someone that was 96 years old would be able to stay awake for three days or more without any sleep… but she was. We just had to do something…

We talked with several facilities, with the Senior Center offering day care for seniors. We placed mother in Senior Center Day Care for about a year before they recommended that we find a facility able to handle the workload involved with her.

When we were trying to decide what arrangements we could make for my mother, we wanted her to be happy, we wanted her to feel at home, we wanted the people around her to have compassion, and we wanted her to be treated with respect, dignity and love. We wanted a facility close to Fairmont so that we could visit mom frequently. We wanted the nicest place with the best care that we could possibly find for my mother.

We searched for the facility that had all of the requirements we wanted.

We discussed our options with the senior center representative and looked into several facilities recommended before deciding…. we moved mom to Connolly Manor.

We have been very pleased with the facility and all of the staff at Connolly Manor. They offer the compassion, respect, dignity and love for my mother and all of the residents that make this facility one of the best that we have seen.
